Alden is a beam of light for every person she meets. She radiates warmth and makes you feel like you're the only person that matters when she's talking with you. She's hilarious, and caring, and oh my goodness, does this woman have wisdom and always know the perfect thing to say and the perfect way to say it. She has been an incredible blessing to me and has inspired me to grow in my faith and in the way I interact with other people.
In the past 6 months, Alden has had to endure mama-suffering that no mother should have to endure. The kind of trials that shatter your heart and leave you no choice but to hit your knees and beg God to perform a miracle. Alden's three year old precious, spunky, spirited, hilarious little boy has been diagnosed with cancer.
The most remarkable aspect of Alden and her husband's journey to this diagnosis has been their incredible, relentless pursuit of God. Despite every dark and scary avenue they've experienced, their light has never dwindled. They have remained steadfast in shining glory to God and trusting Him to carry them through this battle.
When I came across this scripture I was intrigued because I already knew Alden represents light to me (not just me, anyone who knows her uses some aspect of light when describing her personality.) But I wanted to dig deeper into the scripture and see what it actually meant. Oh my word. When I read 2 Corinthians 4 I got the chills. I knew God had led me to the perfect scripture to use for my "Alden Shirt." 2 Corinthians 4 is all about maintaining a sense of light, and shining that light for others during times of darkness, and tribulations, and seasons of suffering. This, my friends, is what Alden and her husband, and even little Holt, have persistently done over the last several months.
I pray that you are compelled to buy a shirt to support Alden and her family during this impossibly difficult season of life. I pray that when you wear it, you are encouraged by Alden's strength and dedication to shining light for God's glory and I pray that you might be able to share her story and inspire other people to shine their light as well.
100% of proceeds from this shirt will go directly to Alden's family and 10% of every other shirt design on my site will go to them as well.
